Over 400-plus students call Browns Mill Elementary home.  In addition to a rigorous academic program, students also take STEM,  Art, Music, PE/Health, and Drama.  We have many extra curricular organizations.  Students are able to participate in chorus, Garden Club, Science Olympiad, Robotics Club, Drama clubs, Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl and much more.

DCSD Grade Level Syllabi--All Subjects
DCSD Elementary School Teaching and Learning offers course syllabi in English language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies for prekindergarten through fifth grade.

DCSD Instructional Frameworks
DCSD Division of Teaching and Learning will ensure a consistent approach to classroom instruction and assessment with the implementation of the department frameworks.

DCSD Gifted and High Achievers
DCSD offers the Discovery Program in elementary schools and the Impact Program in the middle and high schools.
 
DCSD Special Education
DCSD Department of Special Education meets the individual needs of students ages three through twenty-one who are eligible for special education and related services according to the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
